How to choose a UK winter programme for 2027

The right UK winter programme for 2027 depends mainly on who is travelling and what decision they face next. Leading Future runs four: the UK University Winter Programme for students exploring future university study, the UK University Exploration & AI Business study tour for undergraduates considering a UK master's, the SQA / UK Final-Year Study Experience for SQA students about to start a UK final year, and the Oxford MBA Winter Programme for managers (8–17 February 2027). Match the programme to your stage first, then compare length, places, outcomes and the fine print.

Oxford MBA Winter Programme vs an MBA degree: what's the difference?

The Oxford MBA Winter Programme 2027 is short-term executive business training, not an MBA degree: a 10-day programme for managers from 8 to 17 February 2027, based in Oxford with visits to London and Cambridge, and run for groups of 15 or more. Participants who meet the programme requirements receive a programme completion certificate. An MBA degree, by contrast, is a postgraduate qualification that typically takes one to two years, with competitive admission, formal assessment and a degree awarded by a university.

How UK academic research internships work

A UK academic research internship places an undergraduate or postgraduate on real research tasks with a university department, research team or project, so they can test a research direction before further study or a PhD. Through Leading Future, you start from your subject and target universities — with Oxford, Cambridge and UCL as representative directions — and follow four steps: discuss your research interests, explore open positions, submit your application materials, then project review and arrangement. Tasks, duration, format, and language and subject requirements are set by each host, and places depend on what is open.
