Overview
Get to know UK university life and the British classroom before you begin your final undergraduate year.
For SQA programme students planning to complete the final year of their undergraduate degree in the UK, this 9-day, 8-night experience is a chance to get to know UK universities before the move. Students visit six universities — Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Cambridge, Bristol and Surrey — and spend two days at Reading for around 12 hours of classes.
The Reading sessions recreate a UK lecture setting: students follow an AI business case in English, practise note-taking and discussion, and are introduced to research questions, evaluating sources, essay structure, referencing, and academic integrity, including how to check AI-generated content. A team project to design an AI business idea for a campus need ends in a group pitch and feedback. Travel is planned for mid-January 2027.
